1. Important Safety Information

Please read fully before assembling or using your Flexi Former.

  • Maximum user weight: 150kg

  • Indoor use only.

  • Use on a flat, stable surface.

  • Ensure the reformer is fully assembled before use.

  • Keep fingers clear of hinges and moving parts when folding or unfolding.

  • Never stand on the carriage.

  • Children must not use the reformer unsupervised.

  • Do not modify or alter the reformer.

  • Only use original Flexi Former parts and approved replacements.

If the reformer feels unstable, makes unusual noise, or parts appear worn, stop using immediately and contact us.

Failure to follow these guidelines may void your warranty.

2. Initial Assembly

Your Flexi Former arrives folded. The following components must be installed before first use:

  • Shoulder rests

  • Pulley poles

  • Strap holders

  • Straps

  • Standing platform

  • Foot strap

A. Install the Shoulder Rests

  1. Locate the metal pin slots directly beside the headrest.

  2. Insert each shoulder rest into the designated holes.

  3. Push down firmly until the metal pin clicks securely into place.

  4. Check both sides are fully locked before use.

B. Install the Pulley Poles

  1. Locate the two circular gaps at the back of the reformer.

  2. Insert each pulley pole with the pin holders facing toward the back of the bed.

  3. Carefully align the holes in the pole with the holes in the frame.

  4. Insert the securing pin fully to lock into place.

  5. Choose one of the three height settings.

  6. Ensure both poles are set at the same height.

The height setting slightly alters strap length. Symmetry is most important.

C. Install the Strap Holders

  1. Locate the screw holes directly behind the shoulder rests.

  2. Screw the strap holders into position.

  3. Ensure they are fully tightened and secure.

D. Attach the Straps

  1. Hook the hand loops onto the strap holders.

  2. Feed each strap through the pulley at the top of the pulley pole.

  3. Guide the strap back down to the adjustable strap insert.

  4. Adjust the length by loosening the two brackets.

  5. Ensure both straps are set to equal length.

If straps appear uneven or catch at the back of the bed, check for twisting.

E. Install the Standing Platform

  1. Slide the standing platform into the long, thin gap at the front of the reformer.

  2. Secure it using the screws provided.

  3. Ensure it is tightly fastened before standing on it.

F. Install the Foot Strap

  1. Position the foot strap underneath the standing platform at the front of the reformer.

  2. Secure it using the screws provided.

  3. Check tightness before use.

3. Unfolding the Flexi Former

  1. Stand behind the folded reformer so the springs are visible underneath.

  2. Grab the foam handle.

  3. Slowly push the handle downward.

  4. The reformer will naturally begin to open.

  5. As it opens toward your feet, step inside the frame.

  6. Lower the reformer gently to the floor with control.

Always keep hands clear of hinges.

4. Folding the Flexi Former

  1. Place the foot bar onto the carriage.

  2. Secure the carriage down tightly.

  3. Unhook the straps.

  4. From inside the frame, grab the foam handle.

  5. Step out as you lift upward (reverse of unfolding).

  6. Close slowly and with control.

Ensure the carriage is secured before folding.

5. Ongoing Maintenance & Care

Your Flexi Former should operate smoothly and silently. Regular checks will extend its lifespan.

Footbar Screws (Important)

  • Check every 2 weeks in studio use.

  • Check monthly for home use.

  • Ensure all screws are tight.

Do not just tighten the bottom screw.
It is typically the top screws that require securing.

Straps

Inspect regularly for:

  • Twisting

  • Fraying

  • Uneven length

  • Catching at the back of the bed

If catching occurs, the straps may be twisted and pulling the pulley out of alignment. Untwist and realign immediately.

Replacement straps are provided free within 1 year of purchase.

Springs

Check springs regularly for:

  • Gaps between coils

  • Uneven stretching

  • Visible distortion

If springs show signs of damage, they must be replaced.

A foam rust cleaner may be used if necessary.

Never use oil-based products on springs.

Wheels & Carriage

The reformer should be silent.

If you notice:

  • Clicking

  • Grinding

  • Increased noise

  • Uneven carriage movement

Stop use and contact us. It may indicate wheel wear.

You may remove the carriage periodically to clean wheels and track.

Never use oil or lubricant to fix noise — this will worsen the issue.

6. Cleaning Guidelines

  • Silver frame: Non-perfumed antibacterial spray.

  • Upholstery: Foam leather cleanser only.

  • Rails and moving parts: Dry cloth only.

Avoid:

  • Harsh chemicals

  • Bleach

  • Oil-based products

  • Excess moisture

Always dry surfaces after cleaning.

7. Storage Guidance

  • Ensure the reformer is fully folded and secure.

  • Confirm the carriage is secured before folding.

  • Store in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.

  • Avoid damp or humid areas.

  • Do not store in extreme heat or freezing temperatures.

  • Do not lean unsecured against walls.

  • Ensure it cannot tip or fall.

8. Support

Flexi Fly does not provide servicing.

However, we offer:

  • FaceTime guidance for part fitting

  • Replacement parts support

  • Free parts replacement within 1 year

If your reformer feels unstable, develops noise, or shows visible wear, contact us before continued use.
